Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has said he will not tell the club to make any signings when the January transfer window opens.

Chelsea have made a fine start to the new season, winning seven of their first ten league games and are currently third in the Premier League table.

The Blues are also doing well in Europe sitting top of their Europa League group.

Despite the Blues fine run, there have been suggestions that the Italian boss will try to sign a forward and a defender in January.

However, when asked whether he had spoken to the club’s board about their transfer plans, Sarri told press conference ahead of Chelsea clash with Crystal Palace, “No, I didn’t ask anything about it to my club because at the moment I think we can stay with these players and be competitive.

“Maybe not for the top but we have to try to arrive close to the top.

“It is too easy to go into the market for every problem. I think we need to improve and we need to improve with these players because they can improve.

“It is my work, I think. For the market, there is a club. I can say to the club my opinion about what I think I need but my job is to try to improve my players.”
